Carlos Dias - Founder and Technical Director

Established in September 2004, CDC provides services in accounting, taxation and management support. Its purpose is to support individuals, independent professionals and companies of every kind and size.

The services offered are differentiated and specialised in the matters that are material to each particular company: accounting, tax consultancy, finance, planning and management support.

We aim to support business owners in their management through the organisation and implementation of internal control methods, regular administrative procedures and reporting suited to the needs of each situation. The intention is that accounting should be the management instrument of choice, allowing decisions to be taken in good time.

The technical director is a Certified Accountant registered with the Ordem (OCC), academically trained at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Porto. He began his career in 1995 as an employee, becoming a self-employed service provider in 1998. The growth of the business led to the creation of the present company in 2004, and its growth since then has been a direct reflection of the trust and satisfaction that clients place in the services delivered.

Accounting and Taxation

  • Collection of documentation at the client's premises.
  • Handling of individuals' tax obligations such as IRS, Imposto Selo, and Modelo 44 for the annual rental income return.
  • Assessment of taxes for taxpayers with commercial activity, such as IVA, IRS, IRC and withholding tax.
  • Tax planning, projection and preparation.

Human Resources

  • Remuneration planning and payroll processing.
  • Direct liaison with, and compliance with reporting obligations to, the social security authority, AT and FGT.
  • Control of hiring and dismissal.

Company Formation

  • Advice on the best corporate structure to adopt for the expected size of your business and in light of the applicable taxation.
  • Advice on articles of association, licensing of the activity, compliance with employment requirements, insurance and so on.
  • Incorporation of companies and declarations of commencement of activity.

Investment Projects

  • Preparation of business models ("Business Plan").
  • Construction of valuation models and simulation of results and viability.
  • Preparation of projects for financing applications and/or self-employment creation with advance payment of unemployment benefit.
  • Definition of accounting and budgetary support models.

Other Services

  • Registered office and correspondence address services.
  • Handling and submission of INTRASTAT declarations.
  • Referral to legal and solicitor services (vehicle, land and commercial registration, attestations, divorce proceedings, authentications, inheritance and estate division, and so on).
  • Partnership with Occupational Health and Safety services.
